1/2nd January 2018 full Wolf Moon

The Full Moon on January the 1/2^nd 2018 is going to be a big deal. This is also a super moon so named because of it's proximity to the earth making it look so big). The January full moon is also known as the wolf moon, so called by the Native American Indians who noticed the hungry wolves howling outside their villages at this time of year. 

Interestingly this year will be the year of the Dog when Chinese New Year comes around in February so you may find yourself feeling the need for those dog like qualities of loyalty, love and affection over the next few days. The wolf is a pack animal with a hierarchy that allows them to survive as an organised group, so during this full moon you may feel affected by the energy of others around you. The wolf spirit animal also symbolizes a strong connection with instincts and intuition so another indication of how important this full moon will be for following your inner guidance.

Astrologically the Full moon of the 2^nd January falls in the sign of Cancer, so you can expect to feel deep emotions stirred at this time. The trick is going to be to be gentle with yourself. Allow yourself to embrace your inner child and relax and have fun. This full moon has a strong feminine influence so do bear I mind how those she wolves protect what is theirs! You may find that you are wanting to protect and nurture both yourself and those around you at this time. It is a time for you to be compassionate and it can be a good time to hold out an olive branch or heal family rifts.

The sign of cancer is very intuitive and you can use that energy to allow yourself to be guided on the most appropriate path for you to take. The full moon in cancer may also see you having powerful dreams, so do pay attention to them.

Full moon and Lunar eclipse in Leo, 10th/ 11th February 2017

Hi folks, I am not an astrologer so these are just my thoughts on the upcoming full moon , lunar eclipse, there are lots of other blogs and websites that go into great detail on the fascinating astrology around this full moon out there so I will leave that to the experts :)

This weekend we have a lot going on in the skies! We have a full moon known as the Snow moon and Lunar eclipse in Leo,   and a comet! The energy of this is going to be very powerful, so don’t be surprised if you feel it building up already. The last lunar eclipse was back in September 2016 you may find that you have had energy hanging around since then that this weekend’s full moon is going to be helping you to release all that.

Full moons are always a good time to release any energy that is holding you back or keeping you stuck. Quite as useful exercise for the full moon if you work with tarot cards is to draw a card each day for the few days leading up to and on the full moon, and ask- what do I need to release? The cards will allow you to recognise the energy that you need to let go.

The Leo energy is very positive and a little brash so don’t be surprised if you feeling a little bit bombastic and ready to give anything a go! The full moon energy can be emotional too though so bear this in mind, if it all feels a bit much someone may well hear your roar!

This is also a great time to recharge your crystals , if you have outside space you can leave them outside and let them bathe in the moonlight, if not you can lay them out on your windowsills, this works just as well. 

I have drawn a card for the Full moon for us today and the card is the Knight of Pentacles, this card is asking us to remain focused on our dreams, not to get distracted but other things and to remain determined and steadfast in our pursuit of our own joy, a lovely card for the full moon as it reminds us to use this energy to release all that holds us back from our dreams.

New moon wishes

How to make your New moon wishes,

The new moon is one of the best times  to send out your wishes to the universe as it is a time of new beginnings, Here is my quick and easy guide to making your new year wishes.....

 1. Take some time to reflect upon the things around you that you already have and the things in your life that you are grateful for

 2. Give yourself credit for how well you are already doing

3. Focus for a little while on all the things that bring you joy

4. Think about the things you want to manifest for yourself over the next month , keep it simple and pick a few things only, don’t overload yourself with a list of a hundred things as your resistance to believing they can all happen could end up blocking them all.

Pick some really easy things and some that your belief system thinks might be more difficult (in truth none is more difficult but the fact that you believe it is makes it so) when the easy things start to happen your belief system will start to change. 

5. Write them down or make a vision board take your time and be creative enjoy the process. The more you get into it the better it will work.

6. Set aside some time to meditate on each of the things you would like to manifest, keep it light and positive, focus on how much fun it would be to have x, y or z not on how desperate you are for it as that energy is too heavy and focuses on lack. Affirming things such as  - It feels really great to be financially secure, or it feels really great to be with my perfect partner - helps you to stay in the energy of joy which is where we need to be open to receiving what we want.

At the end of your meditation let go of any attachment that you have to the things you have asked for , just trust that it is all there for you and you are ready to receive them :)

First full moon of 2017- Wolf moon in cancer

The first full moon of 2017 is on 12^th January and falls in the sign of Cancer.

This full moon has some pretty dramatic astrology associated with it, now I am not an astrologer so I won’t go into too much detail here as there are lots of great astrologers out there who can explain this far better than I. Suffice to say that there is a lot going on up there in the skies and the fact that this full moon is in Cancer suggests that it could be an emotional one for us all!

The sign of cancer is known for producing people with very deep feelings and emotions so I feel we can expect our emotions to be feeling a little bit exposed during this full moon. The trick here is to stay peaceful and allow the energy to come and go, the sign of cancer is very intuitive and you can use that energy to allow yourself to be guided on the most appropriate path for you to take. The full moon in cancer may also see you having powerful dreams, so do pay attention to them.

This first full moon of the year is also known as the Wolf moon, this name is given because in depths of the winter the wolves would howl with hunger outside of local villages. I have drawn a card for the full moon for us today and this card is The Chariot, this card can refer to conflict and there is certainly a lot of that in the complex astrology of this full moon, but it also talks about being ready to follow you own path and being ready to move forward, it feels like there will be some revelations during this full moon that allow us to move forward more freely. There is a sense of progress around this card , of things being built on, there is no doubt that there has been a lot of unexpected and disruptive change recently lots of things have had to be released and though painful for some the Chariot is giving us positive movement forward now.

14th November Full Moon (Super duper moon!)

The 14^th November brings us the ‘superest ‘ supermoon since 1948 and this is a bit of a once in a lifetime event as this will not happen again until 2034.

The super moon is more of an astronomical event than an astrological one as it is about how close the full moon is to us. Have a look into the skies tonight and you should be able to notice just how big the moon appears to be.

In terms of astrology though the Full moon is in Taurus, and this brings into focus security, being grounded and practical and responsible. 

It’s a good time to let go of any of the negative feelings that hold you back in those areas such as any sense of lack. Switch your focus to feelings of plenty and abundance this will begin to attract better things to you.

This is a great time to start a gratitude journal , being thankful for what we already have attracts us more things to be grateful for after all.

You may also find that you are feeling a need to look at things like self- belief and self- worth , the full moon may have you feeling slightly vulnerable and asking questions of yourself about achievement and where you see yourself in the world so it is a great time to have some quiet reflection on where you are going. Be gentle with yourself  and remember we are all only doing the best we can with what we have at the time. Allow yourself to let go of any limiting beliefs and allow yourself to believe that you can be the very best version of you going forward.

As with all full moons they do affect our emotions so take it gently, this moon seems to be also affecting energy levels and is already feeling quite draining so nurture yourself now and don’t be surprised if you find yourself craving comfort foods and a cozy blanket today that is Taurean energy so just embrace it and enjoy it x

New moon in Taurus

This week, May 6^th/7^th we have a new moon in Taurus, as we know new moons are all about new energy, fresh starts and are a great time to send out your wishes and cosmic orders to the universe.

This New moon feels like it has a very powerful energy , it is a super moon (the earth and the moon are at their closest during a super moon), the power can be quite draining , so do allow yourself to rest if you need to.

The Taurus energy is very grounded, as an earth sign it is very much about being rooted in the earth, Taureans love their food and you may find that over this new moon you find yourself a little tempted to over indulge!

As an earth sign the Taurus energy does have a focus on the material things around us, money, home and possessions, it may be a good time to look at how you feel about what you have around you materially right now, as a new moon is a great time to send out a more positive intention if you need to. This is not a time to focus on what you lack, but on what you would like to manifest and also to be grateful for the things you currently have around you.

Taurus is also a very sensual sign, being ruled by Venus, love and sensuality are strong drivers for Taureans, so this new moon is also a great time to think about what you are looking to attract to you in terms of relationships.

It’s all about growth, the earthiness of this new moon asks you to be grounded, plan, use all of the talents and resources that you have to manifest what you want, jobs, abundance, relationships, house moves, everything is possible, so set aside a little time this evening or tomorrow to write a list (keep it positive ), and send it out to the Universe.

I have drawn a card for this New Moon today , to give us a little guidance and assist us in setting our intentions. Appropriately the card I have drawn is the 4 of Pentacles, this card is all about looking at your relationship with the material world, investing in your future (not just financially but emotionally too). Look at how things are around you, are you holding too tight to things and needing to relax or are you too laid back and needing to rein things in a little. As I have said it is not all about money and finance this energy can relate to all aspects of your life, assess where you are and set you intentions accordingly.

Full Moon in Scorpio 22nd April, it's a touch gothic!

This Friday we have full moon in Scorpio, after the upbeat and exciting energy of the Aries new moon this full moon has us moving into the more moody emotional energy of Scorpio.

The Scorpio energy is dark and deep, in comparison and you may find that this full moon taps into your more serious feelings. This energy leads you to look at what really matters to you and what it is that you truly desire.

Scorpios key words are ‘I desire’ the energy of this full moon may lead to you feeling that you are wanting more than you currently have, keep that desire positive though as focusing on what you lack does not help you to manifest what you want. The full moon is a great time to think about cosmic orders, the law of attraction and manifesting abundance, please see my separate blogs and videos on these subjects if you would like to know a little more. There will be some light bulb moments over the few days around this full moon, the moon often brings clarity and the Scorpio energy does like a secret, if ever you have a man of mystery around you he is probably a Scorpio. The energy of this full moon is throwing light and clarity on things, destroying any illusions, it may well give you the ability to see things as they really are which can be really powerful but also not easy, the truth is not always easy to embrace.

One of Scorpios ruling planets is Pluto which is the planet which governs transformation, this full moon gives you an opportunity to look at your own growth and transformation, feelings of wanting change and progress may surface for you, interestingly the sign of Scorpio is associated with the Death card which is also the card of transformation! Notice the heart on the planet surface..... this links in nicely with the card I have drawn below. 

So in short an intense full moon in passionate Scorpio which will enlighten you and offer you the opportunity to focus on your own personal transformation!

I have drawn a card for the full moon and in honour of this being in moody Scorpio I am using the Bohemian Gothic Tarot deck, a wonderful deck which works really well with the shadow side of things. Remember the shadow is not evil or scary it is simply the darker side of our personalities that we all have, if we can understand and embrace them it helps us to be whole .

The card drawn is the 2 of Cups, such an appropriate and interesting card for this full moon, as it is all about emotion and feelings much like the Scorpio energy, this particular version of the two of cups shows and ‘innocent’ lovers meeting, however the girl looks unsure, is she seeing what is truly there and is this really what she wants, the full moon illuminates the picture so that she can see what is really there. The card reflects brilliantly the energy of this full moon and asks you not to be lost in an illusion but to see what is hidden and embrace it.
