Welcome to the Snow
Moon!
Tonight we a have a full moon in Virgo, traditionally
February’s full moon is called the snow moon (in some cultures also the hunger
moon). This full moon being in Virgo is asking you to get grounded and
organised, if there are things you need to get done it’s a good time to knuckle
down and get stuck in to them.
This full moon being in Virgo focuses us on the
material and practical side of life, asking you to look at how you can be more
productive and organised.
This full moon also talks about clearing and cleansing, so a
great time for a bit of a detox, think about your diet and how you are looking
after yourself, do you need to be drinking more water for example?
This would
be a great time to book a massage or reflexology session both great treatments
for detoxing but also great for being kind to yourself and having a bit of a
pamper, this full moon is a perfect time to detox.
In short this is a great time to tidy up loose ends and to
clear up any jobs that need to be done but also cleanse out any energy that is
old and un-needed, balance you spiritual and practical needs. The sun is in
Pisces opposing this full moon so getting the balance between emotion and
practicality may be a challenge, just remember be gentle with yourself, allow
the old to go and be ready to embrace the new.
I have drawn a couple of cards for the full moon for us to
guide us, and they are very appropriate, the first is the King of Pentacles ,
traditionally and earth sign man, his energy is
successful , grounded and hard
working all the things that we have talked about this full moon bringing with
it. six of cups. This card is full of emotion and nostalgia and has a dream like wistful energy, especially when looking back at the past.
The balance between the energies of
these two cards is exactly what you are looking for as we move through this
full moon.
